cis models

OUR 5 basics

1.

A personal one-on-one relationship with a caring adult.

2.

A safe place to learn and grow.

3.

A healthy start and a healthy future.

4.

A marketable skill to use upon graduation.

5.

A chance to give back to peers and community.

Different kids have different needs.

Our unique model positions site coordinators inside schools, from kindergarten to graduation, to assess student’s needs and provide resources to help them succeed in the classroom and in life.

Site coordinators work with school staff to identify students in need of support. We build one-on-one relationships with students, while leading a school team comprised of faculty and service providers. From immediate needs like food or clothing to more complex ones like counseling or emotional support, we do whatever it takes to help students succeed.

cis offers three tiers of support to students:

Tier 1

Whole school prevention/ enrichment activities

Tier 2

Group services to students with common needs

Tier 3

Direct intervention services for a student and family
